Veteran PTSD Town Hall - Feather River Tea Party Patriots

Stephanie Ruscigno, U.S. Army Veteran, will introduce the panel of expert participants: Don Shrader, U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and a former Yuba County Supervisor, is currently curator for the Museum of the Forgotten Warriors; Lindsey Sin, Deputy Secretary, Communications at California Department of Veterans Affairs, was a U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class, served as a Cytologic Technician Interpretive in the Arabic language, and deployed in support of Operations Northern Watch, Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom; Dr. Ruth Moore is an integrative health practitioner, published author, and international health consultant whose passion is supporting veterans with diagnosed PTSD and other mental health conditions. Servicemen and women oftentimes face unique challenges when leaving active duty and readjusting to civilian life. Sometimes soldiers also return home with challenges related to their mental well-being as a result of what they have witnessed while on active duty; and one of the most common mental challenges is post-traumatic stress disorder (commonly known as PTSD).
