The affidavit process has been around before the Constitution was written by the Founding Fathers. It represents a Citizens personal Grievance. An affidavit (Medieval Latin for he has declared an oath) is a written statement of fact voluntarily made by an affiant or deponent as a an oath or affirmation which is administered by a person who is authorized.
